All Growth Matters
What does All Growth Matters do?
Growth describes how a plant progresses from a seed through to maturity. It is also used to describe how we grow as individuals - personal growth.
As someone who loves plants, working in the landscape AND believes in education, I feel that GROWTH describes what I aim to'do'. All Growth Matters has three areas of interest.
1. Working with groups of individuals who need support to move on with their lives, for example to recover from a health issue. This could involve workshops in woodlands focusing on personal health and well-being, in a nursery or public space. Horticulture provides the motive to GROW as an individual and over-come anxieties. For example I work with MIND providing ten week recovery workshops.
2. Being passionate about gardening I offer a bespoke horticultural service in private gardens. This is all about our gardens growing! Focusing on border maintenance, planting and planning.
3. And finally, I am happy to share my knowledge of horticulture and my experiences through talks, lectures and workshops at garden clubs and schools. This can be tailored for specific learning objectives, or as a hobby session. Growth through Education.
About Caroline
Passionate about gardening and the landscape, I began my horticultural career with Gravesham Borough Council with responsibility for the Grounds Maintenance Contracts from the Riverside out to Camer Park. In addition I managed to secure the role of Allotments Officer which I loved, as I enjoy growing fruit and vegetables and wandering round allotments was a dream job. I am guilty of organising the daffodils growing through the verges from Meopham to Gravesend (cheeky as it was my route to work).
I then moved onto private gardens as a self employed gardener while I completed my degree in Landscape Management and became a Mum.
From 2007 to 2014 I managed the Diploma in Horticulture at Hadlow College at both the Tonbridge and Canterbury site, in addition to lecturing at all levels from schools and Foundation through to Higher Education.
I continue to lecture part time but my focus is All Growth Matters
